ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1. About Screen Blanker ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ
Screen Blanker is an easy to use utility to save your screen from damage.
Screen Blanker monitors your mouse and keyboard and if you do not make any
inputs for a certain time (blank time) the screen is blanked. You can change
the blank time and select blanking actions in the Settings dialog. When the
screen is blanked Screen Blanker chooses one of the selected blanking actions.
If no blanking action is selected the screen will be just blanked. If you start
Screen Blanker with the parameter '-' (minus sign) the Screen Blanker window is
automatically hidden. It is a good idea to start Screen Blanker automatically
when booting your system (e.g. from the Startup folder). If you want to blank
your Screen immediately choose the Blank screen command from the Options menu
or move the mouse pointer to the blank corner of your screen. Screen Blanker
does not become active in full screen DOS and Windows sessions.
Screen Blanker also supports external screen saver modules. You can use Deskpic
modules (.DSS) and Screen Blanker modules (.BSS). Screen Blanker has a built-in
watchdog funtion to detect errors in external screen saver modules. If the
desktop freezes just wait 5 seconds while Screen Blanker tries to terminates
the faulty module.
Screen Blanker also provides an easy screen capture utility. Screen Blanker
copies the corresponding part of the screen or the entire screen to the
clipboard and optionally saves it to a file.
